INTRODUCTION
An impressive and historic property standing elegantly in private grounds with beautifully landscaped lawns, gardens, sun terraces and patios, a vegetable garden and a walled orchard. Fernley Lodge is a wonderful family home with modern conveniences yet retaining the charismatic charm of the original Victorian country house. This gracious property has undergone renovation over the years and is now a comfortable, stylish and spacious home in a much-envied setting.
Combining architecture of interest with a coastal countryside setting and the pleasures of village life, the house features well appointed and generous accommodation with appealing décor. Fernley Lodge works well as a large five / six bedroomed house, but has the flexibility to use the East Wing as a self-contained apartment.
There is ample private parking for up to six vehicles to the front of the house as well as a rear courtyard for deliveries and additional parking, where there are stairs and a separate entrance to the East Wing.

HISTORY
Fernley Lodge is rich in history having been built around 1884 by Robert Greenish, a well respected resident of Manorbier who established a successful drapers business in Haverfordwest. He built the home for his daughter and son-in-law William Parcell who was a successful tea planter residing for some time in India. The home later became a Rectory, a guest house in the 1930’s, and during the war was a residence for officers from the Manorbier Military Camp.
The property has been upgraded and elegantly redecorated by the present owners who have enjoyed living at this lovely, traditional home for the past ten years.

Many original features have been retained including high ceilings with decorative plasterwork and central roses, period fire places, doors and skirting boards, sash windows, and a grand staircase.
